Mirela M. Derrin is a company director, Chair of the Victorian branch of the Australian Society for Defence Engineering and a board member for Engineers Australia’s Mechanical College.
Mirela holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering, followed by postgraduate studies in Risk Management, Insurance and Business.
Mirela commenced her career with TEXTRON designing, testing and commissioning high speed transmission units with specialised applications in the Defence industry. Her later roles include R&D positions in the Automotive Industry, Radioactive Material Transport Packaging with ANSTO and Investigative functions within DSTG. After working as a Loss Prevention Consultant and Risk Manager for several large global corporates Mirela is now running her own Risk Management Consultancy.
