New partnership focuses on energy and power management best practice

Engineering Education Australia has partnered with Schneider Electric to deliver a new range of energy and power management training courses.

These courses will draw on the technical knowledge from Schneider’s Electrical engineering experts to share industry best practice in HVAC management, critical power systems, and electrical distribution.

Learning outcomes will focus on key design concepts, compliance with the relevant standards, innovations & trends for  an increasingly digital world, and the practical application of knowledge for the workplace.

The first courses available are aimed at graduate or junior engineers entering the electrical installation industry:

Fundamentals of Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Technology

This one-day course covers a practical overview of Medium Voltage electrical distribution – from power generation to Low Voltage.

Participants will learn about the relevant electrical standards, common equipment used, innovations and new technology, and how to select the right equipment, as well as an introduction to the electrical network design process and network protection.

Fundamentals of Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Technology

This two-day course provides an introduction to Low Voltage electrical distribution, from the Main Switchboard to Final Distribution.

Participants will learn about the system components for Low Voltage power reticulation, an understanding how to select these components, the relationships to Australian Electrical standards, as well as innovations and technology for a rapidly increasing digital world.
