Engineers Australia’s flagship graduate development program has gone international and is available in Malaysia and Singapore for the first time.

Graduate development has long been identified as a learning and development priority in the engineering industry. Young engineers have the necessary technical skills from tertiary study, but can often lack the business acumen and soft skills required to perform in a professional environment.

Engineers Australia’s Graduate Program was created to bridge this skills gap and support organisations develop and retain young talent.

Responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, this 18-month course is now a completely virtual experience, allowing graduates from any location to participate and continue their professional development. This includes businesses employing graduates in Malaysia and Singapore.

The program covers key skills graduates need to transform into professional engineers, and aligns to the underpinning knowledge for Chartered status, including project management, communication, resilience, stakeholder engagement, innovation, risk management, and problem analysis.

Graduates also learn how to take responsibility for their own development goals and align these with their workplace and organisation’s objectives.

Delivered by Engineers Australia’s wholly owned training provider, Engineering Education Australia, the program will include a mix of social online learning, self-directive study and live virtual workshops. These live workshops will be scheduled during Malaysian and Singaporean business hours and are designed by education experts to be highly interactive and collaborative.

How can you get involved?

The Graduate Program commences in October 2020 and is open to businesses employing engineers with up to two years’ experience located anywhere in Malaysia, Singapore or Australia. To learn more about the program visit the website or to enquire about enrolments contact:
